It’s joy and excitement in the DR Congo’s Virunga National Park-VNP following the birth of twin baby gorillas.

In a post on facebook, Virunga national park said Gato from the Nyakamwe family had given birth to twins.

“We’re excited to announce that Gato from the Nyakamwe family has just given birth to twins! The newborns and proud Mum and Dad are all doing well ❤,” read the post from Virunga National Park

Africa Tembelea has since learnt that gorillas tend to be very aggressive when they get a baby (s), therefore, it is not possible to establish the sex of the baby (s) few days after birth.

The gorilla twin birth brings hope for sustainable primate tours giving future clients a chance to meet and interact with these endangered species in their natural habitat.
