Victoria University one of the fastest rising universities in Uganda have signed a memorandum of understanding with Swedish top med-tech company to help in implementing and evaluating efficiency of artificial intelligence diagnostic support platform.
The memorandum of understanding was signed between Victoria University and One World Health and Byon8 at Victoria Tower in Kampala.
Byon8 is a Swedish Med-tech company developing intelligence technology for health care sector in Sweden and worldwide.
Byon8 is a Swedish med-tech company, providing the next generation of health care: Neo health, a digital health care ecosystem. It is currently consisting of 3 cost efficient, smart, digital and technical solutions increasing the overall quality of health care.
One World Health is a medical center based in Masindi district whose mission is “to provide quality, affordable care to the communities.
According to the memorandum signed, Victoria University will not only lead in developing high– quality, student–centered learning opportunities but will also conduct research during implementation of the program in Uganda as well as collect all necessary data, answer research questionnaires and analyse data.
In his remarks, Dr Krishna Sharma the Victoria University Vice chancellor hailed the partnership between the three parties and said that the university also contribute to development of grant implementation for the project and produce final report answering the research question among other roles.
