President Museveni has likened popular Ugandan stand-up comedian, Patrick Salvado Idringi to former president, Idi Amin Dada.

The president who met Salvado at Nakasero State Lodge earlier today, noted that the man from Ombokolo looked like Idi Amin, who served as the President of Uganda from 1971 to 1979.

“I met with one of Uganda’s finest talents in the stand-up comedy industry, @idringp. He tells me the Bazukulu call him Salvado of Ombokolo. But from his looks, he must be the grandson of Idi Amin. We shared quite a lot regarding the industry and development issues,” President Museveni said.

As they say a picture speaks 1000 words! Yes, many agree that Salvado indeed looks like fallen dictator, Idi Amin Dada. He has turned it into an issue of comedy just like he did during the 5-star Madness comedy at Kampala Serena Hotel on November 29th, 2019.

Following the meeting, Salvado said he was not only honored and humbled but also glad to share the wisdom of the president, whom he said wasn’t in ‘power by luck’

“it was a great honor to meet the president. Who am I and in what capacity do I meet the President. Well I’m honored and humbled. The man is wise regardless of what you say, I think I’m learned enough to know that, I’m just glad he shared some of his wisdom with a mere me.. son of Ombokolo,” said Salvado.

“People are not in power by Luck, this man shared facts and statistics that I’ve always seen but ignored. Well let me say I’m woke …,” he added.

Salvador’s meeting comes at a time when President Museveni continues to meet artistes, in a move many believe is intended to sway them from fellow artiste and presidential hopeful, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi better known as Bobi Wine.
