Africa’s biggest annual Business summit, the AFRICA CEO FORUM is set for Kigali, Rwanda next year. The seventh edition of the AFRICA CEO FORUM, which brings together company executives, investors and public officials from the African private sector, has been slated for the 25th and 26th of March 2019.
The 2018 Africa CEO FORUM was held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire in March, and held a record attendance ever for the annual summit. The presidents of Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Zimbabwe were present in Abidjan, as well as former presidents like Olusegun Obasanjo from Nigeria. The first ever Women in Business Leadership meeting for African Women CEOs was also inaugurated at this year’s AFRICA CEO FORUM.
The decision to hold next year’s forum in Rwanda is partially influenced by Africa’s decision to strengthen regional integration on the continent.
“This 7th edition will be held at the heart of the continent, in Rwanda, a country both francophone and anglophone, whose economic dynamism and development model anchored in education, innovation and performance perfectly reflect the values of the AFRICA CEO FORUM,” explains Amir Ben Yahmed, Founder and President of the AFRICA CEO FORUM.
And after a West African country in Cote d’Ivoire hosted the forum this year, Rwanda presents a regional economic opportunity in Eastern and Central Africa for the AFRICA CEO FORUM. Offering access to a regional market of more than 150 million people, and a signatory of 68 trade agreements, Rwanda is an ideal venue for Africa’s biggest business summit. The East African country will assist in facilitating meetings and encourage business flow between corporate leaders across the continent.
