KAMPALA – Rev. Timothy Namanya Rwabogo, of Rushere, Kiruhura district has died at the age of 58.
According to family sources, Namanya breathed his last at Case Clinic, Kampala on Saturday, June 20.
“He breathed his last at 2:00am this morning at case clinic in Kampala where he has been battling lung cancer,” Deborah Rwabogo, a sister to the deceased is quoted to have told Chimp Reports.

Just learnt the passing of Rev. Namanya Timothy Rwabwogo at Case Clinic, said Jannette. “A friend to the Church of Uganda mission has laid down his mantle. We can think of no greater tribute to Rev Timothy than to renew our passion for creative, comprehensive and commitment to the work of proclaiming the everlasting word of God in these last days. By God’s grace, we will see our Reverand in the clouds very soon,” said Jannette..
On her part, Mary R Mugyenyi, former Member of Parliament for Nyabushozi County, and currently representing Uganda at the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) said Rev Namanya was well loved and will be missed.
“Rest in piece man of God. A really good hearted, humble human being. He was well loved and will be missed by the community,” Hon Mary Mugyenyi told Africa Tembelea.

Namanya, 58, a brother to businessman Odrek Rwabogo [son-in-law to President Museveni], was the third born of the children of the Late Tomasi and Elinah Rwabogo.
He has been serving as a Reverand at North Ankole Diocese in Rushere, Kiruhura District, Western Uganda.
Namanya had a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Makerere University, and a Masters of Arts in Theology from Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono.
