Nigeria has recorded 790 new COVID-19 cases across various states pushing the country’s total cumulative cases to 26,484.
In a post on twitter, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stated that 166 of the new cases were recorded in Delta, followed by Lagos with 120 new cases and Enugu with 66 cases, the third highest for Wednesday, July 1.
FCT recorded 65 more cases, Edo-60, Ogun-43, Kano-41, Kaduna-39, Ondo-33, Rivers-32, Bayelsa-29 and Katsina-21 cases.
Other cases recorded include 20 from Imo, Kwara-18, Oyo-11, Abia-10, Benue-6, Gombe-4, Bauchi-2, Yobe-2 and Kebbi-2
To-date, out of the 26,484 persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria, 603 have succumbed to the virus while 10,152 patients have since been discharged after they recovered.
