ABUJA, Nigeria – Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Jennifer Ssemakula Musisi has won a top African leadership award in recognition of her efforts in turning Kampala around.
Ms. Musisi was Saturday night awarded the honour of “Africa Agent of Change” at The Women Development Centre, Abuja – Nigeria for demonstrating exemplary selfless services and projecting good leadership qualities on the continent and beyond.
The coveted award recognizes different Women across Africa who through their leadership and commitment to public service have impacted change, projected good morals and driven community development in their societies and beyond.
Also recognized and awarded was Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Commissioner General, Doris Akol. This award follows an earlier one in February this year when Akol received the Public Service Excellence Award in Africa by the African Leadership Magazine which also saw Doris inducted into the CEOs Hall of Fame 2018.
The African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO) is a non-profit organisation with a membership that is open to all women leaders across Africa and aims to harness and enhance the leadership potential of women in leadership positions in Africa as a whole and channel them towards the unity and development of the region.
