Kylie Jenner has officially become the youngest self-made billionaire ever, at the age of 21.

The reality TV star overtook Facebook tycoon Mark Zuckerberg to top Forbes’ annual billionaires list.

Jenner’s new-found title is a result of her Kylie Cosmetics empire, which was founded in 2015 and is now estimated to be worth a staggering $800 million.

Opening up on the recognition, Jenner admitted topping the list “feels really good.”

Jenner, who once told InStyle her mother ‘cut her off’ financially aged 14, said: “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”

The star said she credits the “power of social media”, adding that she sees the company going “very far.”

“I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything [because of social media],” she said. “I see Kylie Cosmetics going very far. I work really hard.”

Despite seeing success under the brand, Jenner told how her mum, and manager, Kris Jenner has not ruled out selling the company as a possibility in the future.

She added: “It’s always something that we’re willing to explore.”

Jenner’s success comes months after fans set up a GoFundMe page to help push her from $900 million to the billion mark, after Forbes first tipped that she was on target to take the title.

Fans joked that they were prepared to take out a “second mortgage” to help the star reach the goal faster, with supporters describing Jenner’s $100 million shortage as “heart-breaking.”

However, the tip-off that Jenner was on track to break Zuckerberg’s record didn’t go down too well with everyone.

Dictionary.com took a savage swipe at her being “self-made” and posted a definition of the word, tweeting: “Self-made means having succeeded in life unaided. Used in a sentence: Forbes says that Kylie Jenner is a self-made woman.”

She was later defended by older sister Kim Kardashian, who added that “no one works harder than my sisters and my mum.”

Zuckerberg was 23-years-old when he made his first billion in 2008.

Whatever happens next, one thing is certain. Jenner will share it all on social media, much to the delight of her tens of millions of fans.
