Four Tanzanian Truck Drivers Test Positive in Uganda as COVID-19 cases rise to 79

KAMPALA — The Ministry of Health has confirmed four new coronavirus cases, bringing Uganda’s total to 79.

Health minister, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng in a post on twitter, said all the four new cases are Tanzanian truck drivers who came into the country via Mutukula border

“4 new COVID-19 cases confirmed today out of the 1,578 samples tested among truck drivers. All new confirmed cases are Tanzanian truck drivers who arrived via Mutukula border,” Health minister Dr Aceng said.

She said that the rest of the 411 samples from communities tested negative for COVID-19
