Richard Quest, host of CNN International’s Quest Means Business and economics reporter for the network, said that he tested positive for coronavirus over the weekend.

“I have caught coronavirus. I am blessed in that I have few symptoms — just a cough. I am saving my prayers and thoughts for those less fortunate. Stay in. And protect lives,” Quest posted on twitter.

Earlier on Monday, the celebrated journalist told viewers on Monday that he was thankful that he hadn’t not got the horrific symptoms like others.

“I am thankful and grateful that I don’t seem to have any of the horrific symptoms of the others,” he said.

Quest said he will continue to work but will “take it easy if it all gets too much,” adding that he felt fine.

As of Tuesday, April 21, Worldometer reports that some 2,496,966 cases of the infection had been recorded globally out of which 171,240 people had succumbed while some 656,024 had recovered.
