“Oh Chike o, this is hard for me to say, But I’m gonna say it anyway! We can’t find another man like you,” tweeted @Shindalolo. She went on to advise Chike to liaise with @temsbaby and @Omah_Lay and revert before making that decision to visit Uganda.
It should be remembered that Stanley Omah Didia, alias Omah Lay, Temilade Openiyi, alias Tems and their manager, Muyiwa Awoniya were arrested in Kampala mid December 2020 after they held a concert dubbed, “The Big Brunch, Afro Beats edition,” at Ddungu Resorts in Munyonyo, Makindye Division.
The arrest came after Omah Lay shared a picture of himself with the crowd of people who had turned up for the show at a time Ugandans are restricted from moving after 9pm or gathering as a way of fighting Covid-19.
Government of Uganda later dropped the charges against the Nigerian artistes and they were allowed to fly back home.
Since that experience, netizens continue to reflect on this incident with some even telling the music star to be cautious as it may be easy to enter Uganda, but hard to get out.
“Wahala be like Uganda, Easy to enter, hard to Commot…” tweeted Samuel Spencer, to Chike who replied, “My Ugandan family got me❤” adding, “We go rough am!”
Others like Charles Denzel Mwiyeretsi using twitter handle @DenzelUG advised Ugandans to hide their girlfriends, presumably because Chike is handsome and a darling of the ladies.
“Time to hide our girlfriends,” Denzel tweeted.
