Dar es Salaam – Air Tanzania Company Limited-ATCL is set to start flying to Guangzhou China, amidst tight restrictions occasioned by the Covid -19 pandemic.
ATCL Managing Director, Ladislaus Matindi told journalists on Friday March 5, 2021 that the flights to China which had been delayed since September last year will officially start on March 20.
“We will be flying weekly on Saturday at 5am in the morning to arrive around 9pm China time in China and fly back to Tanzania same time on Sunday around 5am,” Matindi said.
He revealed that for passengers flying to China, there is need to understand what is required of them because the government of China has issued strict conditions and tickets will be sold by special agents only to those who have been cleared of Covid-19.
Africa Tembelea has learnt that this flight service will also make it easy for travelers from Guangzhou to visit Dar Es Salaam and other parts of Tanzania, from Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro.
