Comedian Eric Omondi has been named the best comedian in Africa at the African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA) held on Sunday in New Jersey.
Omondi beat other well-known comedians, including Chipukeezy, to bag the coveted award in an event which also had him as the host.
Proud of his rare achievement, the entertainer shared a photo of his two trophies on social media as he named himself the African king of comedy.
“The president is now king. Every obstacle be it human or object, bow down,” Eric joked
Captioning some of his photos, he said “This is the funniest man in Africa,” and then went on to thank his fans for the milestone after hitting the 1.4 million mark, shadowing Huddah Monroe’s 1.3 million and Sauti Sol’s 1.1 million.
